Privacy Policy
How information is handled when you read and contact AgentsCalling.
This notice concerns agentscalling.com, the publication founded and edited by Snehil Prakash. For questions or privacy requests, use the Contact page. Services linked from this site have their own privacy notices.
Information you choose to provide
If you contact us, the information available to us may include your name, contact details, message and attachments. We use it to respond, evaluate a news tip, investigate a correction, discuss an enquiry or handle a privacy request. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive personal information.
Following our external contact link does not submit a message to AgentsCalling by itself. Information you submit through that external website or a messaging service is also handled under that service’s practices.
Technical information
When you request a page, the systems delivering and protecting the website receive technical information such as your IP address, requested URL, browser information and request time. Hosting and security providers may retain operational logs to deliver the service, diagnose faults and prevent abuse.
Search terms submitted through the site’s search appear in the requested URL and may therefore be included in technical logs.
Saved articles and browser storage
The “Save for later” feature stores an article’s title and URL in your browser’s local storage on the device you use. The feature does not create a reader account or sync the saved list between devices. You can unsave an article using the same control or remove the entries by clearing site data in your browser.
WordPress may use cookies for login, authentication and administration when those features are used. Browser controls allow you to review, restrict and delete cookies and local storage. Restricting storage may stop features such as saved articles from working.
External resources and links
The site loads some font resources from Google Fonts. When an external resource is requested, the provider receives the technical information needed to serve it, including your IP address and browser request information. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
External websites, linked source material and any embedded third-party media are governed by their providers’ policies. Opening a link or loading an embed can disclose technical information to that provider. We do not control its subsequent use of that information.
Newsletter and RSS
The Agent Brief is currently marked “Coming soon”; its current section does not collect newsletter subscriptions. The RSS feed can be accessed without registering with AgentsCalling. If you use a third-party feed reader, that reader’s privacy practices also apply.
Before enabling newsletter registration or introducing materially different data collection, we will update this notice and provide the relevant information at the point of collection.
Access to information
Information may be handled by people responsible for the publication and service providers needed to operate the website or respond to your request. It may also be disclosed when required by applicable law or where necessary to protect rights, investigate abuse or secure the service.
Providers may process information outside your country. The particular service and its terms determine where processing takes place.
Retention and security
We aim to retain enquiry information only for as long as needed for the enquiry, a related editorial record, dispute or applicable obligation. Technical log and backup retention depends on the relevant service. Local saved-article data remains in your browser until removed by you or your browser.
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the service, but no website or communication method can guarantee complete security.
Your choices and requests
You can clear browser storage, restrict cookies, avoid optional external services and choose what to include in a message. Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion or restrictions on use of personal information, or to object to particular processing.
Contact us with enough detail to locate the information. We may need to verify your identity or authority without collecting excessive information. Some information may need to be retained for legitimate editorial, security or legal reasons. You may also contact the relevant data protection authority where applicable.
Children and changes
AgentsCalling is intended for a general professional readership, not specifically for children. If you believe a child has provided personal information that should be removed, contact us.
We will revise this notice when our practices change and display its latest revision date. Material changes will be explained where appropriate.
