Corrections Policy
When the record is wrong, we should fix it clearly.
AgentsCalling welcomes evidence-backed corrections from readers, sources and organisations mentioned in our coverage.
How to report a problem
Use the route on our Contact page and start with AgentsCalling correction. Include the article URL, the specific passage, what you believe is wrong and any supporting primary source. Please provide a reply method if you want us to follow up.
How we review requests
The responsible editor reviews the evidence and, where necessary, seeks clarification or additional sources. We assess the claim on its merits. A disagreement with an opinion does not automatically establish a factual error.
We prioritise issues that could materially mislead readers or cause harm. We do not promise a fixed turnaround before understanding the issue, but aim to resolve substantiated errors promptly.
Corrections, updates and clarifications
- Correction: A material factual error is amended and accompanied by a dated note explaining what changed.
- Update: New information is added with a date and an explanation when it changes the substance of the story.
- Clarification: Ambiguous wording is improved, with a note when the original wording could materially mislead.
- Minor edit: Spelling, formatting or grammar may be fixed without a note when the meaning is unchanged.
Changing an article’s timestamp alone is not an adequate explanation of a substantive correction. We aim to preserve a clear record rather than silently replace significant claims.
Retractions and removal
If a story’s central premise cannot be supported, we may retract it and explain why. Removal may be appropriate for serious privacy, safety, legal or rights concerns. We assess such requests individually and preserve a public explanation where appropriate.
We do not remove accurate reporting simply because it is inconvenient to a subject or advertiser. Advertising or partnership discussions do not determine correction decisions.
Responses and further review
If you believe our response missed material evidence, reply with that evidence and explain the remaining issue. Relevant responses may be incorporated or linked with editorial context. Personal information in correction requests will be handled according to our Privacy Policy.
